Been trying to get pregnant since April and still not? What do I do?
I been trying to get pregnant since April and been off the pill since April. I been taking the pill since I was 16 and I am 25. What can I do to TRY and get pregnant besides have more sex? I don't know my ovulation cylce because my periods are not regular. I have no women in my life to help me so I don't know who else to turn to. My gynie told me that after a yr of trying then she'll help me w/ infertility? Is there a prob with me or my fiance's sperm? If anyone has any advice please help.

Well first even couples with a regular cycle sometimes takes a year or two to get pregnant, it is a lot harder if you are not regular.

Most likely it is not really anyone's problem other than your cycle.

Like fr-chuck said it can take a healthy couple at least 1-2 yrs before concieving.Take folic acid everyday and eat healthy see if that helps, and I know this might be hard but don't constantly let getting pregnant play on your mind! I have also been trying for a baby without success,I just try not to think about it to because the stress of it not happening is know good for us.
    Good luck

If you just came off BCP (birth control pills) in April there is a good chance you're cycles are not regular yet because of the hormones that remain in your body afterward. (It took me 4 months to regulate after stopping the pill)

Also, I recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. There is a common misconception that women ovulate around day 15 of their cycle. Many do not - and ovulation can change every month. Once you learn how to recognize signs of ovulation, you'll know when to time intercourse.

Also, I know trying since April can seem like a really long time, but it isn't. Since you have no idea if you're having sex at the right time of the month, you won't be able to tell if there even is a problem. While Trying to conceive (trying to concieve) make sure you are taking a prenatal vitamin to decrease your odds of having a baby with spina bifida, cleft palates, etc.

There are things that you might be able to do to help yourself get back on track with your period. First, there is a great book Taking Charge of Your Fertility: The Definitive Guide to Natural Birth Control, Pregnancy Achievement, and Reproductive Health (Revised Edition) by Toni Weschler. There are lots of used books on Amazon. There are some real simple herbs, the first one that comes to mind is Vitex.

Also, as time passes, if you still don't get your period, you could look into if you're Insulin Resistant (IR) or if you have PCOS. There are a few good websites to check out to see if you have IR, or PCOS: insulitelabs.com, and PCOSupport™ which is the website for the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Association.

    Good luck...

Make sure that you are eating healhy, taking a multi vitamin daily, and exercising. It has been proven that regular exercise can regulate a woman's hormones. It relieves stress and is good for your body at the same time. You might want to try an herb called Dong Quai and another called Vitex. They are supposed to help with regulating your menstrual cycle. They helped regulate mine in less than 2 months. Don't lose hope. As everyone has said, it can take up to a year for a healthy couple to get pregnant. Hope this helps.

It could be your man. He might have low sperm count. A good way to raise it naturally is to have him eat a lot of celery.Something in celery raises the sperm count.
