95 Honda Civic Won't Start; Might Be Battery or Alternator?
My battery died while I was at work the other day for no reason (no headlights on, no dome lights on, no door ajar, etc) and after getting a jump start, I took the car to Wal-mart to get a new battery. Here they told me my car just needed to be charged. The next day, I got in my car to go to work and it didn't start again. Does this sound like the alternator? How much does it cost to replace?

. Ensure battery is fully charged.

. Test all under-dash and under-hood fuses with a test light or multimeter:

. If it "cranks but won't start," perform tests in Sections A and B below:

    . If it won't crank:

First off was the battery fully charged after you parked it?Does your volt gage work in your car? Get the car boosted by a friend (its free, lol) if you have a volt meter check the battery to see if its charging, should be charging at around 13 to 14.2 volts. If it is charging and you have this problen again it sounds like the battery is finished, you can get this tested at most garages with a cranking amp tester. This will show the draw on the battery to determine if its shorted out or still good, the garage will usually do this for free in hopes of selling you a battery or altenator, hope this helps.
