    No cold water in shower
I have good hot water flow in tub and shower, but the past couple of weeks I have little or no cold water coming to tub or shower. The bathroom sink is right beside the tub and have both hot and cold water there. Can anyone give this lady some ideas of what is going on. Thanks

Tell us about the shower/tub mixing valve(faucet). Is this a one handle or two, brand/name if possible. You may have a clogged cartridge or debris caught in the cold inlet of the valve.

There is two handles. I don't have any idea of the brand. Older home, so nothing real new.

Sounds like it may be a valve with washers rather than a cartridge. Shut off your cold supply, main line if you have to. Open both faucets and remove the valve stem, there should be a nut shaped ring closer to the tub than the handle. Do you see it? If you have the ability a picture would be of great help to most of us.

Ok now remember It's a lady here. You say open both faucets and remove the valve stem. Are you talking about taking the cold water handle off or where is this valve at. I look at it and I see the hot water handle, the cold water handle and the water spout! Thanks, but need more help

If this has a valve stem there should be a nut shaped ring between the handle and the plate on the tub. I do not have a video for your fixture but watching this may give you some ideas on how you unit is installed. I will look further to see if I can get you more videos or tutorials.Moen Installation Multimedia
