How much does or could my artwork be worth?
Okay bare with me here I'm only 15. But I have high hopes and I'm hoping to bring the world new intresting and unexplored topics.

This is a painting I had done (its nothing out of the ordinary, I usually create strange unusual creatures which have background stories and such that fit into my personal in the making phiosophy) its just a koi fish. Hahah a colourful one. Made in acrylic. But is it worth anything at all? Could I have potential in the future?

Hey, that's really good, kashimira! Thanks for posting it! Do you have a story that you have written in regards to that painting?

As far as what something is worth monetarily really depends on what someone is willing to pay for it. If you were to create something that is artful and then give it to someone like a relative or a friend or even someone that you felt the need to give a gift, then it could be priceless because the person might appreciate it so much.

Yes. You do have potential in the future!

I'm going to let jrebel7 know about your post. She also writes stories that go with a lot of her art work.

    Thanks!

Kash, your style of painting is gorgeous. You are creative and have a great use of color in this piece. Worth is relative to what area you live in, subject matter most popular in your area, price you place on it comes into play, time it took to do the piece, how much your name is recognized in the art field, exposure to the media, marketing, etc.

But if you are asking if we feel you have a future in the art world... I would say a resounding "YES!" You definitely have potential in the future!

I do write one page stories to go with some of my pieces as Clough mentioned above. Last year at an art show, was the first time I had the stories along side the pieces. I sold more at that show than any show prior to that. I think the stories added a little extra interest in my art work.

Keep on learning, don't let anyone discourage you, be open to good critiques, take in all you can from other artisits, get involved in local art shows... you will find a great networking through most shows which opens up doors to other shows and areas of art.

    Great talent!

Your artwork has loads of style and originality and would be a perfect fit for any number of commercial or private needs... book illustration, animae, interior décor, etc. Don't post too many on the web, as I'm sure you could demand as much as people would be willing to pay for your work.
