Non professional. What they are looking for would be dependent on the case the jury is hearing. This is called Profiling. There is a website with many different articles on using profiling when observing and researching a jury. Jury Profiling Research : Trial/Jury Consulting Decision Quest

They would be important to the defense and prosecution in the presentation of their cases by judging the reaction of the jurors and getting the verdict they desire.
