    Hi,

Iam just worried about my condition now. I am having almost all the early signs of pregnancy but in the pregnancy home test it came negative but my period is overdue for around 1 week now and experiencing really light spotting only on the tissue paper. Is there any chances of me being pregnant?Kindly advise me.

    Hi,

Iam a 28 year old woman and just started trying for a baby. Now my period is overdue for around 1 week and I am having spotting. But at the same time I am having early signs of pregnancy as well. Please can you advise me is there any chance for me being pregnant.

    Thank you:)

There could be a chance. I took 4 HPT's and three of them came up negative. Then the last one that I took which was about 2 weeks after the first 3 and it was positive. I didn't have any spotting, but it is possible to have some spotting and still be pregnant. Wait a couple of weeks and try another test.

As per the sticky notes at the top of this forum, nobody is going to be able to tell you this. Being late does not mean you are, and it doesn't mean you aren't. Having "symptoms" doesn't mean you are, as many other things can also present the same symptoms.

No physician would ever diagnose you by symptoms over the computer. You need to take a pregnancy test, do it first thing in the morning when urine (and therefore hormone) is most concentrated. If its negative, that could mean you are not pregnant... it could mean the level of hormone is too low to detect... which means you wait, and then take another test.

Wish we could give you a better answer, but this question gets asked all the time, and the answer always is there is no way for us to determine what your chances are.

Please don't start more than one thread about the same thing. I've asked these two to be merged.

A negative test can be a "false" negative, where your hormone levels are too low to be detected. Or it can also be correct.
