My cats will not get along
Hi, I could really do with some tips if anyone could help at all; I have a beautiful black and white male cat SLY who we had from the age of 6 months old along with his twin sister SUKIE, he all always been very loving and gentle and I suppose I am very guilty of spoiling him as he always wants my attention and loves cuddling. Unfortunately Sukie had to be put to sleep after a bad accident 2 years ago now, which SLY pined over for weeks, and in November 07 over a year later we adopted another black and white female MAY in the hope of SLY appreciating a companion. They look almost exactly alike apart from the size difference as Sly is a very large male We introduced them gradually and introduced ach others scents to them firstly, however May was very nervous, we thought this due o her background as she was 1 year old and we had her from a rescue centre who informed she had already had kittens and was left homeless! We gradually managed to get both Sly and May to eat in the same room however even after all of this time May still growls at Sly evry time he walks past her and runs from him. Sly is very Playful still at the age of 5 and can often chase her. But mostrecently Sly has become very aggressive towards May and is attacking her and trapping her in corners. He is also very aggressive to other cats in the neighbourhood and is quickly becoming an asbo cat! He is still very loving towards myself and the family and never acts in any way aggressively towards us. They are both neutured however are completely intolerant of one another yet they still eat in the same room together. Please if anyone has any tips ata all they would be most appreciated.
