OK I got off probation July 24 of 08 and its been 1 1/2 month since then and my probation officer called me saying that they messed up on the date of me being done of probation ad I got a letter saying that I am done with it and the computer said that I will be done on that date and now he wants me back on and I don't know if I can do something about it can some help me?:( :(

What does your original paperwork say? Did you finish your term of probation or not?

If you didn't finish, there's nothing you can do - you have to complete probation.

Well, certainly you can fight them. It's going to take a lawyer to do that effectively. Can you afford one? How much time are we talking about here? A few months?? It ain't worth fighting over. A few years might be - not a few months.

Review your original court disposition paperwork for just how long you are to be on probation. Also consult with an attorney on this if you don't want to do more probation if your paperwork says you were to do so many months and you completed your probation.

If you received paper work saying you were off probation, then you can well fight it, you will have to go before the judge to get it done.

It said that I am done with it and that I don't have any other days to do
