Tax return changing a court order
I was wondering if it is possible to change a court order where I allowed my husband to claim her every year on taxes? I was adviswed by my lawyer it wouldn't make a difference due to income. My daughter has always lived with me and I have always had full custody. He is deploye din Iraq for the second year so he definitely is not seeing her. Child support is not consistent, but the last time I attended court they said since I was not working he still could. I just want every other year so I can put her on our medical insurance and help pay towards braces. I home school my 3 children and my son has a heart condition and will not be getting a job any time soon. My poor husband flips the bills for everything. It does not seen fair since we are supplying more then 75% of her needs. So can I change this without working. What's the law say?
