First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

In my opinion you BOTH are too young for one on one dating. There is, however, nothing wrong in you hanging out together in groups or going to a movie, bowling etc in groups.

You should be discussing this with your parents and abiding by their rules.

I agree, too young. I got my first girlfriend when I was 14/15 (still a little young, I know)

But, nothing wrong that I see with it. No legal issues, or anything.
If your parents are okay with it, and you think it is a good idea, then go ahead.

And, to put it simply... Do you know where babies come from?

Hold on your eleven aren't you a little too young to be dating, and I know I'm a "nerd" because I say that but my old man wouldn't let me date until I was able to drive, so is dating a thirteen year old when your eleven wrong, I say hells yes, your parents should be ashamed but there probubly those retarted parents that think its cute that there eleven year old has a little boy friend, dump him for societies sake my god your eleven for gods sakes you may think your old enough to date but your dead wrong

Well sadly there are lots of 11 year old having sex, and I saw a couple 12 year old that I though was over 18 yesterday wearing a bikini top and belly button pierced with shorts low enough you could see it.

11 year old are allowed to be for to grown today. * many

I mean a crush, where you date by maybe a school dance dad drives you to, but I eventhink that is too young

11 is too young. For now hang out with groups of friends. Dating could lead to things that you are not ready for.

It's not much the age difference between the two of you, but the ages of you two. At 11, I don't think "crushes" are bad things, but dating? I mean... what do you guys actually do?

HOLD YOUR BREATH AND EXHALE SLOWLY.

First, you 2 ARE WAY TOO YOUNG to be dating.
Secondly, if there's going to be sex involved... forget him.

I have an 11 year old cousin. Is this what he is thinking of, ALREADY!
If anything, this thread scares me.

A lot of words come to mind when I hear something like that, but I can't use any of them on this site.
It is true though, but why? Media? Movies? Music? All of the above?

And what about my little innocent cousin... I swear he just learned to walk last year.

I hope this person posting the question knows enough about safe sex and all that, if there is going to be ANY sex at all, which I pray there won't be.

That's just digusting and unthinkable. They need to be taught better by their parents or something. 11 and 12 year olds? They barely even have their periods and "body parts" fully developed yet!

In my opinion, I think the person who posted this question should only focus on school work and friends first. Please do not even play with the idea of having sex or kissing older boys yet. You have plenty of time for that when you get older - TRUST ME.

Media, Movies and Music are a big part of it. The pleasures of sex and even motherhood are played up. Peer pressure is another big part of it. Ignorance plays a role.

I wish I had an answer to the problem, but I don't. The best recommendation I have is early sex education and parental supervision.

I completely agree with you. Sex-ed and Parental supervision would help a lot.

The problem in my community is that people won't teach sex-ed until kids are 15 years old, which is ridiculous. According to them, kids don't even think about sex at ages younger than 15, which is obviously complete b.s. They say that kids can't handle learning about sex at younger ages, when that is what is needed.

I agree with you, but parental supervision isn't possible 24/7. Kids are going to be on their own sometimes, and need to make smart decisions by themselves. The only way to help them make those decisions is through sex-ed, but 'they can't handle it.'

I could go on and on arguing that sex-ed should be taught at a younger age than 15, but I won't. I think most people agree with me, but the school board doesn't. I guess the responsibility of teaching kids about sex is on the parents.

Yes, it is so common in this area for 12 year olds to be having sex.
Their moms take them to get their belly buttom rings, They buy their 12 year old the newest fashion clothes that make them look grown.

Yes some 11 and 12 year olds are having sex, just like some are not. Education is great, but until we find a way to increase self esteem, decrease peer pressure, and reach children on their level sex at a young age will continue to happen. I wish I had the answers to help combat the teenage pregnancy epidemic, but I don't.

I do know placing blame solely on the parents is not fair. Some very involved parents with highly religious families end up as grandparents at a young age. It is a fact of life.

You are too young to be thinking into it too much. You're 11 years old you are a baby and so is he. Having a crush is one thing, but seriously enjoy your youth, hang out with him as a friend. You have YEARS ahead of you. Personally, I truly think it's a joke with kids these days 11-14ish posting all over the place on myspace etc that they are in love with their boyfriends, they don't know what love feels like, it's the idea of love that makes them feel that way. Anyway hun, you are very young. Don't stress over it.

Yes it is. I'm 25 and I was thinking about this stuff around that time. Puberty does that to you.

I had my first boyfriend though not serious in 4th grade and all my friends did to though it was nothing more serious than holding hands and writing stupid letters. If your 11 that means your probably in 6th grade and your boyfriend is in the 8th. Recalling my middle school days I remember in 6th grade you receive sex ed and that's the age where the boys start encouraging girls to have sex. In 7th grade it becomes more about getting some from boys and in 8th grade a lot of my friends were losing their virginity... sad I know. But sweetheart, he is a bit too old. It's not really about the age. It's about the maturity and where his mind is right now and where yours is. Protect yourself. Find someone your own age or at the most one grade above. OK? Glad to help.
