Can I use a freezer as a refrigerator?
I need more refrigerator space. Can I use one of those chest freezers as a refrigerator? Do the temperature controls allow refrigerator temperatures?

    Thanks for your help

You could use it as a large cooler, meaning unplug it and keep putting bags or blocks of ice in it that you make in your other freezer. It would not work well the way you are thinking of, nor would it be good or too safe for your food

No Not A Good Idea! You can't lower temp enough to keep from freezing, and if u use it with ice as a cooler, you should b very dilligent as to keeping enough ice in it to keep food at a healthy temp. A difficult task at best. You r better off selling it and using the money towards a small used fridge or something if u need a second fridge. Hope that helps good luck!
