    Ontario Birth Certificate
Have been trying to get an Ontario Birth Certificate. Live an another province now, so do not know any Ontario government or municipal persons, nor do I know any of the other professionals required for a Guaranator. Am a very simple person living a very simple life, have no need of a lawyer etc, go to a clinic but the doctors and nurses are always changing, am not a member of the First Nation, persons at the bank are also changing and have not known me for 2 years.. etc. etc. So is there anyone else that would be acceptable for this application? Can't seem to get any direct answer from the Govt. They said send them photo Id, but they just sent it back again and said I still needed one of the listed guarantors to know me for at least 2 years. Help?

A guarantor is a normal request for what you want done. My guarantor in my passport was the fellow up the road who services my car. The only requirement is that the guarantor have a passport so if they (govt) need to, they can substantiate that person's citizenship. They can stretch a point and say they have known you for two years.

Thanks Tickle, but am looking to get a Birth Certificate, not a Passport, and the list of acceptable guarantors is very defined.

This pdf.file has a list of acceptable guarantors. What about a school principal?

    http://www.forms.ssb.gov.on.ca/mbs/ssb/forms/ssbforms.nsf/AttachDocsPublish/007-11076E~1/$File/11076E.pdf

You will have to copy and paste this in your browser.

    Good luck!

Sorry Flossie, but don't know any one who answers to the descriptions that are listed. Have had no kids in school for many years. About the only 2 logical options I would have had would have been doctors and nurses but attend a clinic and they are changing all the time and not one has been there for over 2 years and they said they see so many clients and they don't "know" any of them. Another option was at the bank but here again, direct deposit from work and hardly go into the bank and again don't " know" any of them. So this has me really in a pickle. I guess us blue collar workers who don't associate with the upper echelon such as lawyers, members of parliament or the mayor etc etc don't have a chance to get our own birth certificates.

I'm sorry superskid I had no idea of your age. It's a shame that you haven't set roots in the area you live. Do you see a dentist on a regular basis or again? You could have him/her sign if you've been on record there for 2 yrs.
