Why would my blower in basement leak water?
Hey guys!---I noticed water collecting at the bottom of my blower unit in my basement--I pulled the plug on the drain, but the water still trickles out---What would cause this?

It sounds as if your ac is not draining correctly. Do you have a small pump at the bottom of your blower to force the water out your sewer system? Perhaps this is not turning on. If there is no pump, I would suspect that there is some obstruction in the drain line. I just encounterted that where I work. More than likely some mold, etc. I cleaned my drain line out with a small coat hanger but you will have to be the judge of what will work for your setup.

If you can find the condensate drain from the evaporator coil on the out side of your home(close to the ground white or black 3/4 inch pipe) suck it out with a shop vac from the out side. Its normal for a drain to become restricted or clogged.
