    Child abandonment
My father in-law is sick with cancer and his son lives in southern California, five weeks ago he came to stay with us to give his mom a break,( he's been acting out) now she refuses to fly him back home and is offering me money to keep him with us, this is not a option. What are my legal remedies , my father in-law gave up custody when the divorced, and suggestions are desperately needed.

Father brought daughter to Florida from Oklahoma. Father was here for one month, asked her if she wanted to go back to Oklahoma - she said that they should try to work it out here - he left in middle of night leaving her behind in my care. I am not related. Daughter called Mother -whom does not have custody - Mother if fine with her remaining in Florida. What can I do to allow her to continue living under my roof and care for her needs? She is 17 years of age and good in school. I have a stable environment where she can be a teen. Father used her to cook, clean, do their laundry and pick up his beer cans. He drinks an average of 24 cans a day and does not have money to support her. I am willing and no one wants her. What can I do to help her without reporting to children and families and risk her being removed from my home too?
