I had an IUD years ago when they first came out and I was bothered by it from the time I had it put in until the time I had it taken out. If it bothers you that much, take it out regardless of what anyone says about "oh, the feeling will go away". Phooey, my "feeling" and discomfort did not diminish one iota for 3 months until I took the thing out at the doctor's office. It was a very expensive 3 months for me in terms of pain and discomfort. Take it out is my advice.
