My friend has no job because of her status of US. That she can't work in here. But this December her and ex-bf had a court date for the child support to waiver the child support.. u think that judge will waiver her child support because she can't work in US and ex-bf has the primary custody of the little girl.. by the way only supporting her is her grandmother will she go to school. And she live in las vegas...

I'm not quite sure I understand the situation. The mother is supporsed to be paying support but can't because she isn't legal to work in the U.S. I would start by advising her to get legalized so that she can work. I don't see any judge waiving the support because it isn't the girls fault that her mom isn't legal the girl still has to eat and needs cloths etc. If you could try to give us the situation again maybe in complete sentences it will be easier to understand and give answers to.

So your friend lives in Las Vegas with no job but her grandmother supports her and she has a child support court date this December? How long has she been here? Can she at least get a green card to work?

This the situation her ex-boyfreind file a full or primary custody of the kid because the mother can't support the kid because she had no job and she is not legal in the US. And the judge give the kid to the father.. but last January the ex-boyfriend was asking for child support for the kid and now the try collect money from her. . And my friend file for a court date to waive the child support.. u think the judge will waive it because her statues.. I don't really know full story but all I know she is scared to be deported and she almost done her schooling...

Thank you that is a easier to understand. However, my thought is the same, I don't think a judge will completely waive child support. She might be assigned the minimum that Nevada will charge (I don't know exactly what that amount is but it is low). The problem is that the judge has to look out for the child's best interest not that of the mother though I don't think that is acutlly a problem per say because the kid didn't ask to be born in this situation.

Most likely the child support will be set at a figure assuming 30 hours work at min wage,
