    Snow removal and disposal
I have a nieghbor who pushes his snow in to my yard. I have asked him to stop and he says he can do this by law. He claims to be a lawyer. I hated to do so, but I contacted the local Police Dept. I apologized for such a trivial problem. They said they can only issue a ticket if he pushed the snow across the road. They said they don't know how to enforce him just pushing it on me. The problem is I end up with a pile of stones in my yard after the spring melt. I end up having to do a lot of raking and re-seeding. What are my legal rights as to where he can deposit his snow? Is there a specific law covering this problem? I can't find a local code. Tim

I've never heard of anything specifically allowing or not allowing such a thing. But there is a simple solution. A fence. You can put up a railroad tie fence where the properties abut so he can't just push snow onto your property, but would have to lift it over the barrier.
