    Relocation and Deposit!
Ok... I have a quick question. This past month I interviewed and got a job. The thing is that I interviewed for a job on Friday afternoon and had to start work the following Thursday. My landlord wanted two months notice for leaving. I lost my deposit, even though I had alwayz paid everything on time, and the apartment was very clean when I left. Is there something in Florida law that says anything about relocation, and deposit? My new job is about 3 hours away. I mean, if landlords were sticklers and people didn't have any support we wouldn't be able to relocate for a job.

Nope there is nothing allowing you out of your lease. Be thankful they allowed you a buy out. Especially in Florida where they could have just sat on the rental until the lease was up.

    But, Florida is very pro-tenant.

Um not from what I've seen.

Florida is the ONLY state that doesn't require landlords to make a good faith effort to re-rent the unit. So a landlord can just wait until the end of the lease then sue the former tenant for the balance of the lease.
