Ok, I have been looking for this movie for a while, and I cannot seem to get it right. It's a children's movie that is animated, but the two main characters, who are two young girls, are live action.

They are in this animated forest, and first come across a frog, who's feet are stuck in ice. They help him, and he joins them on their journey. The only other character I can remember is a butterfly princess who they have to help out as well. I think they needed to help her spin her cocoon to become a butterfly, or something.

That's really all I can remember. Another thing that may help is that I remember the audio for the girls not syncing up with their lips. The audio is either messed up, or the movie was made in a totally different language.

Please Help! I really want to find this movie!

I know exactly what movie you're talking about! I've been searching for it for years! I don't know that name of it, sadly, but I do remember some other details.

After the girls meet the frog and butterfly, they go into a cave. At one point some rocks fall and it's all dramatic. In the end, they meet Mother Nature and her daughters (Fall, Summer, Spring, Winter) who look like fairies.

Most of all, I remember one of the little girls has a really short haircut, and neither of their voices matches their lips when they talk-as if the movie has been dubbed.

Oh man, I'm so excited to find someone else looking for this movie. I was starting to think I made it up!

It's a Russian/Romanian movie called Maria, Mirabella (1981).

I've also been looking! I just typed in maria and mirabella in Google and it popped the movie up. It says its called maria mirabella but I don't remember that being the name. All the same that's the movie!

The American version is called The Magical Forest you can buy it on Amazon. I'm not sure if the voices are dubed over but my grandma had a movie store in the mid 90's I remember watching this movie like over and over again! :D
