:confused: i wanted to dye my hair dark brown so i bought a dye that said dark brown but it came out black! How long do i have to wait to re-dye it brown? and what color should i use to make it a chocolate brown, since its black now? thanks

Color won't lift color so you'll have to strip it to remove some of the black before you can do a brown.

But its not black its dark dark brown?

You still can't take color out with color... my best reccommendation would be to go to a reputable salon and ask for highlights. This will lighten your hair up and it won't seem so dark... if you don't want to keep up the highlights in the future, use a semi permanent color to cover them up and go back to a basic brown, but be careful not to choose one that's too dark again.
