Does carpal tunnel ever get well without surgery? Is there any special treatment or therapy?

Yes, carpal tunnel does get well on it's own from inactivity of the wrists and/or hands. I had it in both wrists and my doctor told me to stop working for about 1-2 years and I would improve. That's what I did. Kind of hard though, but it was worth it in the end. Now my wrists don't bother me like they used to unless I overdo it typing. Typing 8 hours a day at 75+ WPM did my wrists in.

I had carpal tunnel when I was doing a lot of computer data entry on my job... I didn't have any treatment; I think it cleared up after I retired, not before. :)
