    My puberty
I am 15 years old and going on 16. Out of my friends I am the least developed and only have a few pubes. This is annoying as I always lie and say I do have a normal amount. I recently shaved them as I heard that pubes grow back quicker and thicker. Is this true? Or can someone help me with this issue. Thanks

You will mature as you do, only time will take care of it.

Shaving causes existing hairs to be stimulated and grow back faster. But they also grow in more coarse, not sure that's what you want.

Shaving does not stimulate new hairs to grow.

You don't need to lie to others about your pubic hairs. There's a lot to discuss in life, that isn't a required topic.

If you're asked questions that personal, you can answer it truthfully or not. Never lie. Also, remind your friends that body growth is not a sign of achievement. None of them did anything to make anything happen or not, so you're being developed yet literally has no meaning outside of "nyah, nyah, nyah" childish thinking.

On the other hand, you can study and be smarter than other people, THAT'S an accomplishment. Watching your body hair grow faster than other people's is no accomplishment. People who do it and actually try and act prideful about it are being foolish. Feel free to remind them of that.

    Anono,
I am and 16, and you shouldn't worry about how you develop.

Well, my first idea would be the same as JB, just don't answer when your friends ask about that kind of thing. Not to insult you or your friends, but using bodily growth as a form of accomplishment is a little stupid. It's a natural thing, and shouldn't be looked at as a race. And for a person to think they are better than another because they have more pubes is just plain weird, and the person claiming this is just stupid, and needs to feel big. If their biggest accomplishement in life is growing a few hairs than the jokes on them, lol.

I have friends who are a little slower to develop, but it doesn't bother me at all. Anybody who is going to citicize you because of your progress in puberty isn't a good friend anyway.

And in my expirience, when puberty hits, it hits hard. I had (and still struggle with, a little bit) ance. My facial hair is out of control, and I shave daily (a real pain). Back, chest hair, my legs are a friggen forest... My point is you will get what you are asking for, in time. The stage I am at is ahead of my friends, so it does make me feel a little awkward. I guess I have the exact opposite problem, lol. EVERYBODY developes at different speeds. Don't worry about it. Don't let that define you.

Good luck, and if you have any other questions, this is the place to ask. You are incredibly brave to come forward with a problem like this, and that should be noticed.
Again, good luck! And be proud of who you are!

Regarding hair growing in faster and thicker:
If you are going through puberty and are just having hair showing up in places, the next day it is going to be thicker and fuller than the day before. And the day after that it will be thicker and fuller. It's the type of thing you don't notice cause you don't think about it.

Then you shave and you pay attention, and when it grows back fuller and thicker you attriibute that to shaving, not the fact that 3 or 4 days has passed.
