I'm going off too a different college, how can I make it work?
My boyfriend and I are attending different colleges. I think it can work because I know we are both really committed to the relationship. However, the last time I saw him he said something that really confused me. He told me that I could see other people if I wanted to. I said heck no, but I'm not sure if he will. Right after that he told me he loved me and would see me as soon as he could. I don't know what to do. I really love him and don't want to let him go. What he said makes me suspicious, but I really don't want to be because I've never had a reason not to trust him before now. Help!

His comment might have been a test.

If you are suspicious of his activities while you are not around... bad news. You already don't trust him.

I suggest you do what my boyfriend and I did: give each other the freedom to date others, no questions asked, and see what happens.

Definitely be single in college, that's what college is for - to live YOUR life and
Find yourself and meet new people, I promise its best not to be tied down. It's also probably his way of gently letting you know, he doesn't want a relationship going into college.

How far away from each other are you exactly? I had friends who lived in different states but drove to see each other every weekend. I lived 2 hours away from my boyfriend and only saw him on weekends, but we made it. It was hard but we were both committed to making it last. We talked about all our problems. And I am totally happy not being single in college. Sure I'm dating someone (we actually live together now), but he doesn't go to my college, so I am still able to meet people and make friends. I guess it just depends on your commitment level. Yours sounds strong, but it does worry me about what he said. He doesn't seem that committed.
