The first question is do you have moles, voles or shrews? We fought them for years in WV and we did treatments on the lawn to get rid of grubs which moles tear up lawns to get to.
Then after reading up on the various species, we realized we had voles which are about an inch in diameter and 4 to 5 inches long and look like a dark colored long mouse.
So I set mouse and/or rat traps for them and got 23 of them in an area about 20 feet by 15 feet. Try it and see what you get. Put the traps right at the opening they leave from the tunnels and put a bucket over the trap to keep other animals away from it. Use some palstic gloves so they don't get your scent on or around the trap. We used peanut butter bait on the traps. They loved it.
They might be moles in your area. We lived right across the street from a golf course so for years we thought we were dealing with moles they were chasing away.
Google voles and see if your location is within their habitat.
I think the rat traps might even work on moles. Walmart and others sell plastic traps that are much easier to set than the old style. Very lethal too. Good luck.

I had the item you are talking about 5 or 6 years ago, Looks like a very large green thumb tack and had about 4 D batteries. It broke and the new replacement is solar powered and yes they work. The tack vibrates twice a minute 24/7 and drives the critters to your neighbors yard. Covers about 200 s/ft

First of all amoles main diet is about 95% earthworms, grubs are just a bonus. The molechaser product is garbage in my opinion, another moneymaker scheme.Try this,Flatten the mounds and the tunnels, wait 24hrs. check where they have popped back up and look for entrance holes, set several harpoon traps over the tunnels and wait.Flattening the tunnels is important because the varmints create entire networks of them to confuse predators, but only actively use a couple of them. The harpoon traps can be found at your local hardware store.
