Sci Fi TV show from the 90's
Over the past couple of weeks I have been watching seasons 1-3 of the Battlestar Galactica and it reminded me of a TV series back in the late 90's but I can't remember if it was on cable or regular TV. It may have lasted 1-2 seasons.
The story line was a lot like BG, troops based on a ship much like a battlestar, looking for an enemy that was hell bent on our destruction. Mankind started growing humans for the war, via IVF. These "humans" were called "tanks", "nipplnecks" and "invetro's". Regular humans hated them and vice versa, but they were necessary to avoid extinction.
The enemy wore armor and could be killed with sea water (and guns of course).

Does this ring a bell with anyone?

    Possibly Alien Nation?

    "Alien Nation" (1989)

Was it "V" ? I used to watch it on sci fi with the aliens that looked like us but were really lizard type things underneath. They wanted humans gone too.
