In the past I have been wrong in some areas of what I believed and I am thankful to those who did raise such challenges. I believe that is one of the roles of the church - to help keep us all on the straight and narrow and to continue to help each other grow through teaching, encouragement, and yes, challenges and correction (2 Tim 3:16 and others).
If we love truth, then I see no reason to fear it. Challenges get us into God's word. If through a challenge we find that we are wrong, we are now closer to the truth. If we find that we are right, through our study of God's word we are now strengthened in our ability to defend and promote the truth of God's word.
The only issue that I can see would be if someone were to start personal attacks rather than dealing with the issue, but as long as the challenge were respectful, if it were me, I would welcome the challenge, not stop it.
