Child support - Interstate (CA & AZ)
My boyfriend and his ex-wife were married and divorced in Arizona. The divorce decree, joint custody agreement, visitation agreement and child support order were all completed and have been enforced in AZ. The ex-wife and child moved to California (the parents have written agreement that the child's move is on a trial/temporary basis and that the original custody agreement will stay in effect.) The ex-wife recently requested Sacramento County to enforce child support, even though my boyfriend has been paying the support though the AZ child support clearinghouse. Can Sacramento take jurisdiction and enforcement away from Maricopa County/AZ when he still lives in AZ and the divorce decree and custody and support orders are all from AZ?

She may work with the local Child enforcement agency normally to help get her money if he is not paying. All he has to do is pay as required and enforcement is not needed.
