    Heat Pump Thermostat?
I have a gas furanace and a heat pump, Is there a thermostate that would allow me to adjust the time that it takes to switch over to emergency heat? I want to get all I can out of my heat pump on those cold mornings, if I set a 60 degree at night, in the morning I set it at 72 degree. I don't want it to switch over to the gas because it has not reached 72 degree in 15 or 20 minutes. I would like to set it at a longer time before switchover occurs. Thanks

    T-Top
You should have a thermostat on your heatpump that is adjustable making the decision of gas or electric heat. Carrier makes a thermostat that enables you to make the adjustment from the indoor thermostat.
