    Flood water in engine
    Hi there I got stuck in flood water in my renault scenic
    The engine runs but there is a loud knocking sound from it
    There also seems to be water in the oil
    HELP

    Immediately change the engine oil and filter. I would remove the spark plugs and ensure there's not any water inside the cylinders. This would be a good time to change the spark plugs. Remove the distributor cap, if any, and dry it out. If you have coil-on-plugs, remove them from the spark plug tubes and dry everything out. Water gets into the spark plug tube, where engine heat converts it to steam, and damages the coil.
