I recently got a new job, low stress, awesome management, great co-workers, so I'm under no stress, not even financially. I recently noticed that I missed my period by a week. I have had my normal period cramps when I usually do though- a week before my period starts- but no blood has come out. I feel like I need to pee a lot, there's very little pee that comes out, it never burns, and there's no blood with it, so I know it's not a bladder infection. I'm not sure if my nipples are darker, or more sensitive, though I have been getting a few more headaches then normal, and I've noticed that my acid reflux disease is giving me more heartburn than usual. If I were pregnant I'd only be a few weeks to maybe a month.

Before I get a test, could there be a chance that I am?

Sex=babies, so yes, there's a chance.

You say your period is a week late, well then get an hpt use first morning urine. If it comes back negative try again in a week, unless of course you get your period. Some women take longer to get a positive result with an hpt. You doctor can also do a blood test which is more accurate.

I know that sex can get someone pregnant, that is completely obvious. I mean about the symptoms that are occurring. I just want to know if the symptoms sound like early signs of pregnancy. I am getting a pregnancy test, as I said in my question. And about the doctor, that's a problem, I just moved here, and no family doctors are looking for new patients. Also, there are no medical clinics within a 20 minute driving radius and I don't drive yet. So I need something in-town.

Yes, the symptoms can be pregnancy symptoms, they can also be premenstrual symtpoms. No one on this site can tell you whether you're pregnant, only a test can do that. So the answer to could I be pregnant is yes. Are you, I don't know.

In defense of altenweg... she's right. The cramps... can mean anything. The needing to pee... can mean anything. The nipples.. headaches... heartburn... all mean anything and everything. Best thing to do is to get a hpt and get tested.
