Hooking up DVD to new Sanyo LCD HDTV
Hi, my first question ever, and my first DVD and LCD TV - I am new at all this - Samsung DVD/VCR (all in one) supplied one cable with a white, red and yellow at each end. I plugged red and white at one end into DVD audio out; the yellow into video out. Sanyo HDTV has 3 rows of all different color jack things for cables to go into. Going by the manual, I picked a row for the red and white audio in (in Row 1), but that same row has no yellow color, only a green and blue and another red. There IS a yellow video in at the top of 3rd row (in fact this is the ONLY yellow anywhere). So it is okay to put the red and white in row 1 and the yellow in row 3? I'm afraid to turn the TV or DVD on because I don't want to hurt anything if I have it in wrong. (CAN it hurt the TV if I have it in wrong?) Do I need any other cables? Should I buy an "S" cable I have read about in other questions/answers? Thanks for any help.
