In your case it is not so much age that I would be concerned about but the distance.
Him being in the Marines how often are you going to get to see him< especially if he has to go to Iraq or Afghanistan? How long does he have to serve before he has to reenlist if he wants?
Do you think you could handle actually being married and yet so alone?
