I had my first period (since giving birth last year) on July 11, 2008. This month I’m late. I do not want to be pregnant. Is it normal to be late and irregular while breastfeeding part time? I nurse my son maybe 3-5 times in 24 hours... at the most. He takes bottles and baby food as well.

It is common to not have periods or to have irregular ones while you are breast feeding.
I only had a couple in over a year of breast feeding. It is less likely to get pregnant at first but it can happen and the further along the more likely the chance. I ended up pregnant a year and two months later. So still don't trust that you will not get pregnant.
