Cable box to DVR/DVD to HDTV
I spent 30 years in electronics and find that today's manuals are lacking in detailed information. Or, maybe I'm just dumb. Here's my problem.
I have cable box DCT6200/DCT6208 (Time Warner Cable) and a Samsung LN-T4661F HDTV.
I am looking at a Pioneer DVR-633H-S DVR/DVD. I want to record HDTV to DVR from the cable box in HD digital channels (100 and up)
How can I connect my system so that I can record/play any HD digital channel?
    Thanks,

So far you aren't really able to record in HD on a dvd recorder or DVR. There is some DVRs built into hdtv cable boxes, or sat boxes that allow you too, but there isn't anything that I'm aware of at least that'll either accept a digital DVI/HDMI input, or analog component. After looking at your DVR, at best you can record in svideo, which isn't HD. Unfortunately, your final product won't be in actual HD. But that .doesn't mean that you can't record those shows. They just won't be HD. Sorry dude
