Ask Me Help Desk - Does he still love us or not?

Well I have been in a relationship for about six months he left to the army and asked me to marry him when he comes back from his training. He finished basic training and now is in Maryland he is in what you call AIT traing, well I feel like we had more communication while he was in basic training and now that he has a cell phone and more freedom for himself he seems very distant and now has told me that he wants and needs space for me not to text him for a while that he needs to regroup that I need to stop already with the texting when I only text him in the am to tell him good morning and in the pm to say goodnight when we use to also during our lunch time text each other and say we love and miss each other now its nothing is he seeing someone else or does he have second thoughts about us? He seems like he has changed and I feel like his mom is involved here as well. I use to talk to his mom a lot while he was in basic training like everyday now she don't call me at all well he finally told me cause I asked him why she hasn't called lately well he said that he heard something about me that botherd her and he didn't know how to tell me I think it's because I work at a daycare in the weekdays and bartendrist on weekends I always worked and took care of myself and kids never had time for relationships he was aware of that and said that that was what made him fall in love with me cause I was very independent well now look at me I fell in love again and I promised o wouldn't do this again. Was in relationship for 9 yrs before and single for 5 till now now look what happnd

Well, I can tell you from experience that during AIT, you don't have much time. It's a lot like basic, but you're having to learn and study all of the time. A time like this will change you in a lot of different ways. You learn a lot about yourself during this time. It's hard to say whether he still loves you or not. Just give him time and let him come out of AIT... he should have a week or two leave after that...

Thank you very much I feel like I don't know what to do I just feel worthless I'm so use to helping people out and just cant't do that now well I'm going to let him be so he can study and hurry and come home I just miss him so much and love him dearly I hope he is doing well thanks again

I'm sure he's doing well. Right now is a very stressful time for him and I'm sure that may be part of the reason why he needs space. Just make sure that you are open to his feelings and give him the chance to get through this and whatever else he needs to get through.

You but never talk to him so how do I know how he is doing?
All I know is that he wants space and I feel like there is something wrong I have no idea but I can feel it in my gut and I have never been wrong. But I have not called him nore text him since Sunday nore has he since Sunday but do you think he still loves us and do they have weekends to there selves or not?

6 months is way to soon to be making a long distance commitment, as you barely have bonded and established the level of communications, to even know how to talk to each other, let alone deal with the pressure of a long distance relationship. Sorry, but either be patient, and give him space. Or stop texting, and write a letter. He hasn't changed, because you barely knew him to begin with. I still hope it works out for you, just don't get down on yourself, and stay independent.

Well we went to high school together but never really talked but knew of each other. We met through a friend from my job. We had good times and lots of laughs and lots in common never felt that way even with my first love.he was the one that mentioned that is it possible to fall in love so quickly, I said I'm not sure but I feel the same way so are we feeling love or not if so what in the world is going on?this is driving me crazy I can't concentrate at all help me please!!
