Depending on where he or she is on probation, and if there hasn't been a transfer of probation, there may be a confidentiality matter involved for someone to release that information to you who might be involved as an employee with a probation department.

You might be able to find out if you were to go to the court house where the records of that person's case are located. But, there also may be a confidentiality issue there. If in the U.S. some records kept at a court house are sealed because of the confidentiality laws.

You can always call the Probation Office and ask them. If they can't tell you who it is, they can at least ask your reason for wanting to know, i.e. if you feel the probationer is somehow not keeping their end of the probation up legally.

My roommate is on probation for child endangerment, and he continually walks into bathroom without knocking, hovers while I'm cooking/cleaning & constantly telling me what to do,& follows me when I leave house! I have doubts about his supposed false conviction & am becoming fearful.
