Me and my ex met on new years and I thought he was so strange but he was just crazy about me and he kept wanting to talk to me and finally I let him and I fell for him. I mean he took me to Seattle Washington for Valentines day and we live in Illinois. We both are crazy about each other and are so in love. We have a lot of issues though with other people. His friends don't like me because he acts different when he's with them and it hurts me and I get upset so they think I'm crazy and mine think he hurts me too much. So eventually we broke up and now we still talk but he is going to college and he says he wants it to end because the only way it could ever work is if we have our space. And I understand that and I agree 100%. But the problem is I don't know if I can. I swear I'm like obsessed with talking to him every second. I'm not sure how I can stop completely when I love him and talk to him so much. And I'm not sure if we ever would get back together. And I'm trying to get him to see me one last time before he leaves which is in about a week. And I'm not sure he is going to. I know that if he sees me he will want me back but then as soon as we've been apart for a while reality will hit and he will say he's done again. I just don't know what to do because I know for a fact he is only doing this because our relationship is too hard. I'm not sure what I even want because I don't think I want to be with him right now since it is so complicated, but I don't want to stop talking to him either. And I also don't like talking to him now knowing that he's with other girls sometimes. Everyone tells me to move on but I know I can't and neither can he. He will but he will only do stupid things like drugs or something to take his mind off it. When we aren't together he's not himself and he does crazy things. I don't know how to fic any of this someone please help me! I need him to want me and stop changing his mind when he goes to his friends.

Look at it in this concept IF you chase it means somebody has to be running. Therefore if you feel you have to chase him then it means you could very well end up chasing him away. You have to make him feel comfortable with you by accepting his boundaries. If he says he only wants to be friends then be friends and do not come off as a stalker type. IF and when he feels comfortable with the relationship developing and continuing with his college circumstances then he will let you know. Don't push or nag.
