I went to the dr. today because I have been having chest pain - I have some sinus drainage too. She gave me a shot of rocephin and Xyzal. I have just never heard of chest pain like this with conjestion. It hurts between my boobs and its not severe just irriatating. Please help. And Thanks

It will take a little while for the chest pain to go away. You have inflamed those muscles by coughing (if you have been coughing), and they need a little time to get back to normal. The antibiotics will get rid of the infection helping to get you better faster.

I have anxiety as well and know what its like to worry about the slightest pains. I understand that your pain is not slight, but you know what I'm saying. Just remain calm about it, try and have the doctor take a second look if it still isn't getting any better. Don't be afraid to nag the doctor about it, have him run some extra tests, better safe then sorry.

I have been diagnosed with a mild case of anxiety disorder and have a script of the anti stress med xantax in case I ever come close to having a panic attack. The disorder came out in its fullest form when I was 17, for no specific reason. I am now 22. Sometimes it comes out all at once and can be overwhelming, especially if I try to keep up with the news or something stressful like that.
Other times its brought on by mild pains, which I then convince myself could be things that are much more serious. For example, I used to worry about a tumor in my head because I had headaches almost every day for a couple of weeks.
I think the main cause of my anxiety is the fact that I think about EVERYTHING. Any possible thing that could go wrong or might be going wrong.

In answer to your PM to me (As a moderator of the site, I have to adhere to the rules and not answer questions via PM), the rocephin itself will not cause the sweats you experienced last night. Most likely that was caused by the infection for which the rocephin was given.
