Monthly I get 1 large blister on my right foot, either on the sole or on the sides. Any ideas other than shoes rubbing!

When I go hiking I have to wear 2 pairs of socks, one thin layer like nylon then a wool layer, the friction that would usually cause a blister then occurs between the 2 socks rather than a sock and my skin.
