    Weed wacker string brakes
Hi my weed eater brand... weed eater takes a 065 string... after a few minuets of cuting the string brakes off inside and I have to dig it out... why is it always brakeing off in side?it is lodged in the roll of string and I have to dig it out...

I have never seen that happen and I have had trimmers for a long time. I don't think I have ever seen a line break. Are you sure the line is wound around the spool in the correct direction? There is usually an arrow on the bottom of the stool showing the direction to wind. Is it possible that the line is not advancing properly?
Sorry I can't be more help but that's all I can think of.

This has happened to me as well in the past... sometimes the string becomes brittle in the package over time (and who knows how long it's been in that package) if you soak it in hot water before stringing it will make it more flexable... my cousin stores his in a small amount of water and swears it keeps it flexiable and that his never breaks. The reason it's winding up into the spool is either to tightly wound or too much string on the spool... the heat from the spool spinning heats the string making it melt to itself when it's overwound and then when it hits this part of the spool it breaks... hope this is of some help/interest even though it's 2 years after question asked... LOL
