    Engine not getting gas
    I have a Yard Machine with 13hp Tecompseh engine.It is not getting gas.I changed gas filter.It didn't help.I can pour gas into the carb & it will run intil that gas is gone.Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Have you cleaned out the air vents in the gas cap?

    That's what was wrong with mine!

    Wish I did - that little tidbit cost me $45 and about 2 minutes of the mechanic's time.

    And it worked so I'm out of ideas.

    Judy had a good idea there. I always remove the cap and try again. Now try pulling the fuel line off the carb to see if it flows, if it does then remove the bowl from the carb to see if you get a good flow through the carb. Come back with your results.

    I'm just repeating that so I can print it out and hang it over my desk next to the thousand questions I've had and couldn't figure out.
