Hello, I am asking a very important question. My ex boyfriend has been here from California for 6 months, and he says his probation officer knows he is here but refuses to let me or my mom talk to her about his actual charges. Since him and I were together , money has gone missing from her purse (several hundred) since he has been over here. And he says that he can't get any insurance here in Arizona unless he is in the state of California. He acts very strange and suspicious. How do I find out if he is legal here in Arizona on probation? Who do I call? And is there any way I can get a free background check on him?

Aside from the state, has he ever given you the name of the city where he used to live in? If you have that city, I would suggest that you call the county courthouse there and speak to the Clerk's office and ask them if they have a criminal conviction for (name) and see what they have to say. If they do have a recent conviction less than several years, you can contact the probation dept and ask them if they have (name) as one of their probationers. If they do, then he is obviously skipping on his probation. If he was smart he would have had his probation transferred to the other state, but then he would have had to live with a relative of his and hold a job. Something sounds fishy here and worth checking out. Could be as I said, he skipped probation and he's wanted for violation of probation.
