    Direct Deposit Mistake
I Live in British Columbia, Canada I had a direct deposit from somewhere that I don't know... I have never signed anything for anyone giving them permission to deposit or withdraw money directly to or from my account... now the kicker is how long would it be before the money becomes mine?

Chances are the bank - or the one who should have received the deposit - made a mistake. It will probably never be yours. Call the bank to inform them of the error.

Hi... a deposits fine, but what if it had been a withdrawel!!

Give it a few days it will probably be clawed back... More importantly...

You need to fined out who accessed your account.

Next time you may end up the looser!

First it never just becomes yours, it is someone else's money,

You need to go notify the bank ASAP and let it be corrected

    Hello walter:

It NEVER becomes yours. If you take it, they'll charge you with a crime. Did you tell the bank?? I'm sure as soon as you do, they'll remove the temptation from you.

Excon is right - and posting twice pretty much results in the same answers. Should be combined.
