    Custody of my son
I live in California. My child's mom and me were never married what rights do I have? What is the possibility of me taking full custody?

Unless the mother is unfit I don't see you obtaining full custody - shared perhaps.

How old is the child, how much of a part do you play in the child's life? Do you pay support?

    Are you the recognized father?

Otherwise - you would have to go to Court, have DNA testing, be the adjudicated father.

Either way you would then file for custody (if that is what you would like) and let the Court decide.

He is 4yrs old. I pay for what ever he needs. That's what we agreed upon. I am the recognized father.

Does her having depression and trying to keep me from seeing my child during the week help in anyway?

Only a Judge has the ability to have her depression evaluated and a determination made concerning what is best for the child.

If you go to Court you are going to be ordered to pay support under the guidelines of your particular State - paying for whatever he needs isn't sufficient by law.
