    Dual operating systems-dell
I have a new dell inspiron 2200 laptop and I also have a 160 gb external hd... I have been reading a lot on dual operationg systems and I was wondering if there was a way to keep win xp on my laptops hard drive and put 98se on my external hard drive and have the choice between the 2 on start up... if not what would the best course of action be to dual xp and 98 se
    Thanks

    Sorry but no.
Win98 needs to be installed on the C: drive, but XP can be on any partition you want.

Now the real question is why do you feel the need to have Win98 at all.
If its for older programms have you tried XP's compatibility mode ?

To setup dual OSes with Win 98 you will need to reformat your PC, wiping out everything on it, then install Win 98 to the C drive and Win XP to another drive.
