    Word meaning
A fossil of an Ichthyosaur in Patagonia "is identified by the presence of strongly anficelic vertebrae and double headed trunk ribs." What is the meaning of 'anficelic'?

Interesting. I see reference to an Ichthyosaur in Patagonia with anficelic vertebrae here:
    http://www.google.com/search?num=100...ic&btnG=Search

... but it is the only use of that word on the net according to Google and Yahoo...

So my thought: they've either made up a word, used a very obscure word or just miskeyed.

I would contact them directly to ask them what they mean by it.

I have an inkling it may mean 'unfusible' which would fit in with vertebrae.
