    Flooring outside
I have a covered front porch and I want to put something nice down for flooring. I have 7" fir plank flooring left over from the house, could I use it ? There is a room underneth it. I was thinking of fiberglassing the plywood and floating the hardwood, or fiberglassing over the fir? What do you think? Am I making a monster? Any other types of flooring people are using would be great.. I just want something other than Duradeck. My house is in BC interior so we get all the weather. Like I said before the porch is covered but yes some water will get on it if the wind is blowing while it is raining.

The covered decks in my building are sealed with torch-on roofing. Then I built removable panels (duck boards) of fir.

Pressure treated tongue and groove flooring boards should do the trick. Cedar and red wood are weather resistant but costly and not as good as pressure treated.
