Car Fender Bender / alcohol / underage / unique circumstance
I have a friend who was recently in a fender bender which involved three cars. All people of which he claims had alcohol in their system. One person who was underage and drank at a bar. He claims everyone left the scene without exchanging insurance information or filing a police report. That same kid who is underage already has had several speeding violations on his record. My friend is worried that he could be sued by the underaged kid. Although both of those two have no contact information for the third person and nor have they heard from that person. What could happen in this situation and should my friend take any legal steps ahead of time?

I speculated that if he didn't admit to the accident the underage kid could potentially have his Insurance agency do an investigation? If that's the case and my friend wasn't even driving his own car, rather a rental car, any ideas what could happen with this or the best way for him to deal with it?

Is it simply his word versus the other kid's? Would the other kid have a case? Any help would be appreciated. This happened in the state of Missouri.

    Thanks.

Why didn't your friend report anything to the police or the insurance company?
Was it his fault or how and who actually caused the wreck?
