    Extradition on VOP
Hello. I was recently in court for a contempt charge, which was dropped. Sadly, I was already on probation for a disorderly persons (our version of a misdemeanor in NJ) assault . In court, the judge and prosecutor were discussing a warrant for someone else for this same crime of DP battery. The two both concurred that NJ would never extradite from New York on a disorderly persons (surprising but true). If this was a warrant for a VOP on a disorderly persons, would extradition be more likely? Would the DP warrant be executed by a warrant squad as a felony would or would it just be a bench warrant? I'd love to know. Thanks

Most courts will not extradite for minor crimes, The difference is how bad they want you, and how much they are willing to pay. What happens is there is a warrant, the police stop you for speeding or for loud music and see the warrant, well they stop and detain you while they check to see if the other state will extradite you or not, if no, they release you, till you are caught again.
