We live in an old mobile home that has two baths with showers. The water flow from the faucets in one of the baths has always been weak, but now it just dribbles. All the other faucets in the home run fine including the other bath/shower. My thinking is that the slow one is clogged up with lime deposits since both the hot and cold water now dribbles. If this is the case, am I looking at a major repair job? Thanks!

Are you speaking of the sink faucet?

Remove and clean your aerators. Aearator is a removable filter-like tip mounted on end of water dispensing spout .

Hkstrokud, you ask me: "Are you speaking of the sink faucet?

No. I'm referring to the bathtub faucet and shower head. The bathroom handsink faucet works fine as well as all the other faucets in the home. The water from this particular bath/shower faucet has always being rather slow, but now it just dribbles out. That's why I'm thinking it's clogged with lime since we have hard water the area I live. Thanks!

Thanks for your suggest Milo, but this bathtub faucet does not have an aerator.

Ooops, I thought you are talking about sink faucet. But, some tub spouts have aerators too ( like Grohe ).

What kind of diverter do you have? On spout or dedicated handle on the wall ?

It takes lots of calcium to completely block water flow in tub/shower combo. First I would remove shower head and run water through shower are. This way you will see if the problem is in the body of your faucet of shower head.

Milo, thanks for the suggestion regarding removing the shower head to see what happens. My thinking is that since both the bathtub faucet as well as the showerhead developed the same problem simultaneously (the dribbling), that somewhere between the faucet heads and the pipe I have a calcium buildup. I will follow-up on your suggestion with the shower head to see what happens.

I'm in the middle of another project right now and will not be able to get back with you on the results till tomorrow. Thanks for all you help!
